This is a now page: what I'm actually focused on at the moment, rather than everything I've ever done. If it's out of date, nudge me.

Working out the YouTube channel

Deciding on a format, and what the first few videos actually are. The pull is towards hardware and software together, building things that exist in the real world rather than another screen recording of an editor. Less "here's how to do it", more "here's the problem, here's what it took, here's what I got wrong".

Deciding what mergeconflicted.com becomes

I own the domain and it's too good a name to leave parked. Does it become the channel? A separate home for the more technical stuff? A brand the projects sit under? Currently it's a browser tab I keep reopening and closing without deciding anything.

Writing longer things

Not tutorials, and not "10 tips for" anything. I want to write proper long-form pieces: the reasoning, the tradeoffs, the bits that get flattened out of a video because they don't fit the runtime. Some of them will be positions I'm happy to defend.

The projects

Four things are live and get attention in rotation: Forever Chess Games for the generative art, Jotura for the local-first notes app, AI Council for arguing with four models at once, and the stocks bots that explain the market every morning.

Building an Argentine grill

Currently deep in the research rabbit hole: V-shaped grates that drain the fat away, a crank to wind the whole thing up and down over the coals, a brasero on the side to burn wood down to embers and feed them under the meat. I'm still at the "do I actually want to take this on?" stage. I do. I've done for a while now.
